About The Film
Surfing is a dance on a liquid stage. And beyond recreation or profit, beyond art and sport, surfing is a way of life shaped by love of the sea and her wild children -- the waves.

Guided by some of the most influential individuals in the history of the sport, Liquid Stage is a soulful journey through surfing's evolution -- from its Polynesian origins to the beaches of Southern California and the world. It is from here that Liquid Stage embarks on an exploration into the essence of surfing. Through interviews with legendary surfers, rare historical footage, and stunning water cinematography, Liquid Stage celebrates the unique relationship that surfers have with the sea.

The film is a tribute to those of the past and present who have sought this connection.
